Epson Easy Photo Print on macOS Sequoia & Sonoma: Apple Silicon Setup Guide
Mac users upgrading to macOS 15 Sequoia or macOS 14 Sonoma on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) hardware often find that legacy printer utilities trigger security prompts, Gatekeeper warnings, or AirPrint filter conflicts.
This technical guide explains how to install the official Epson Easy Photo Print disk image (.dmg), ensure Rosetta 2 binary translation, and bypass Gatekeeper blocks so you can produce lab-grade photo prints from your Mac.
Step 1: Installing Rosetta 2 on Apple Silicon Macs
Easy Photo Print is built as an optimized Intel x86_64 binary. On Apple Silicon Macs, macOS executes it via Rosetta 2 translation. If your Mac hasn't installed Rosetta yet, open Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal) and execute:
